wrist pain

anyone here have wrist problems/pain that last three of four days? It usualy occurs while playing chords that are a stretch. It happens every three or four months. Is it growing pains or something more serious. thanks

U could probably find some wrist/hand exercises that would help you out, build some strength.

If it's hurting through-out the day and not just when playing I would cut back.

The textbook position for carpal tunnel syndrome is flexing your fingers while your wrist is flexed (cocked back). Obviously this can come into effect very easily with guitar playing. Try not to have the curvature of your thumb against the neck too much (where the tip of your thumb can curl over the top of the neck.) Try to have the pad of your thumb against the back of the neck if possible.
