Theyre a jam band, I guess theyre pretty good but they dont have a vocalist so I cant get really into them all that much. Im sure someone here could give you more info to their music than me though.

Bela and the Tones kick ass. Hey, maybe they'll even join DMB in this summer tour, who knows. Bela is the best Banjo player I have ever heard... he also played in the album version of Spoon on BTCS. The whole band played on "Live in Chicago"....simply amazing.

the flecktones are awesome! vic is amazing, as are all the other members of the band. a good cd to check out if you want to get into them is greatest hits of the 20th century...one of vic's brothers is futureman, bela's drummer, and his other 3 brothers (guitar, keyboard, and sax players) are in a band that plays every wednesday here in nashville. a very talented family!

there are entire band is amazing..victor must be one of the best players ever, and their saxophonist plays 2 saxophones at once sometimes. I saw them live, and the enery level is amazing. Defintly a show worth going to, with the whole strictly jam band feel. yeh so pick up Live At The Quick/Greatest Hits/Outbound all are very good cd's. I cannot stress enough the talent of this band.

I saw Bela Fleck & The Flecktones Open for DMB in Kansas City a few years ago. When Dave introduced them (he may have been pandering, but) he introduced them as "the most talented band in the world" and "one of his all time favorites"...

They are great... :!:
