i have an electric acoustic Ibanez that i got for my 17th birthday (5 years ago), it was about 300 and is a decent guitar but im looking to make an upgrade.. (i got my eyes set on a taylor), im a little strapped for cash, and my question to everyone is, would you sell your old guitar and put that cash towards your new guitar? or keep the old one to just mess around with?
im leaning towards keeping the old guitar and putting it in raised B, so i can play some of daves raised B songs...
what would you uys do?

I kept my 10 year old banger, which is a $250 Fender. It sounds pretty good though, and still puts away any <$300 acoustic
I kept it cause it was my first guitar and it has sentimental value
. Further, I wouldn't be able to sell it for more than $150.
And now I have a guitar to take to "outside", something I'm not gonna do with my d35!

i sold my electric and my acoustic to get a better acoustic..very happy about the decision, but sometimes I wish I had an electric to mess around with..Twostep13 wrote:i have an electric acoustic Ibanez that i got for my 17th birthday (5 years ago), it was about 300 and is a decent guitar but im looking to make an upgrade..
