I bought this book which is pretty damn good. Its called 101 Blues licks, it has blues licks from so many famous musicians. They have the book divided into time frames. Before each category they will give a description of what artists played during this time and some background. My only gripe is I wish next to the lick they would say who and what song its from. This specific lick is from the Modern Chicago and Texas Blues. It sounds like a clapton lick but I cant find it in his songs. take a shot at it

Sounds like Derek and the Dominos' Key To The Highway. I love their cover of the tune... and Duane Allman's awesome slide playing on the song.
It could be pretty much anybody, though, I'm pretty sure Hendrix has used that lick at least once in his lifetime, as well as pretty much everybody who has every played electric blues (that's a bit of an overstatement).
