thought this might give people ideas of things to play when they get tired of DMB or anything else they might be playing, so here goes-
i really like this piece by bach that yo yo ma plays on the cello, and these are some decent versions that have been tabbed for guitar, not terribly difficult, just have to start getting some of these runs under my fingers and get them a bit faster

slur is the classical term for a hammer or a pull off (and slides too)

and in this particular tune, there are many hammers and pulls (thats what i meant be slur). in fact, the music for this piece calls for it in many specific places, so dont be afraid to try them DJR

That's awesome! Does anyone have some recommendations for some classical music to learn.

I wouldn't mind spending 2-4 hours a week on classical music.

yeah i was thinking the same thing, not quite sure why the author would have said that - on 2 cello recordings i have of that piece theres slurring all over the place, which makes it sound much better

thanks for the advice zenful

classical music and performance always is about a little interpretation! so slur all you want. you should record it.
its funny, im working on a cello suite as well (bach)--
Im working on the Courante. I have the sheet music in bass clef so its a bitch to read-- but ya, its fun. If anyone wants it i can scan it on here. I also have a recording of Timmy doing it.. and yo yo ma.

I'm fairly sure that there are some errors in that tab, at least according to the Prelude to the first suite that I know from playing the viola.

I'd post a clip if the one I had wasn't a paid-for recording...sorry.
