what to play on new electric

Unread post by Dnunen » Mon May 12, 2003 1:01 am

So, I just got a Les Paul Studio and it is my first electric. I've been playing acoustic for a few years and my repetoire doesn't work on an LP like it does on my Martin. Can you guys recommend some good fun tunes to help me get some electric technique down? So far I've played all the Zeppelin I can and some Coldplay and a few various other things. I absolutely am in love with this guitar by the way.

"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!!! The second best band in history. Freedom or Killing in the Name....so awesome to jam to on an electric.

I didn't really dig the limited colors, although that pewter finish is baddass. Mine is a fireburst. http://www.gibson.com/products/gibson/l ... pst_fi.jpg
Thanks for all the responses and keep them coming. Especially specific songs.
