They might be close to the same chord rotation but definitely not a rip off. They are done totally different. Vocals are different, strum pattern is different, and the songs have two different feels to them.

A true rip off would be Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby and Queen's Under Pressure. Vanilla Ice lost 2 million over that one.

I agree about greenday, but the band JET did it too, if you rember them. Both their big hits sounded sooo much like a certain Iggy Pop song and a certain AC/DC song.
