Till Kingdom Come

Unread post by scelestus » Sun Jan 22, 2006 12:13 pm

Does anyone else think this last track from the new Coldplay album is pretty incredible? I wish they would do more stuff unplugged. Anyways... I've been learning it on guitar, and I can't get anywhere close to the strumming pattern that they use on the album. Does anyone know of video tabs for Coldplay like they have for Dave songs? Or just someplace to start to figure out how they play it on the album?

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": Dr. Peter Venkman: I make it a rule never to get involved with possessed people. Actually it's more of a guideline than a rule.

The one thing I know about this song is that it is in Open C tuning. Either that or the guitar is tuned down to C. I am pretty sure it is Open C though. I found a decent TAB for it a while back. I'll see if I happened to bookmark it.

Okay, I found this originaly on the Coldplaying.com message board. It's not open C, but the low E and D strings are both tuned down to C.

One of their members is pretty good at tabbing out Coldplay stuff apparently. Here is a link to the thread on that board, this should be for the page the tab is actually posted on:

In the recording, at the chorus, Chris starts using some really annoying chords. He adds a bass note. For example:
0
6
0
0
8
5

Apply that shape to all the chords in the chorus if you can manage it

Has anyone figured out what kind of instrumentation they use for this one? The acoustic guitar is obvious, and I think I might have heard some acoustic bass too, but what's the other instrument going in the background? Is it some type of keyboard or synth?

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.
