Sometimes I love Guitar Center...
About two years ago I was a happy owner of a Martin D-18, which was my main guitar and I loved it. One day I was in GC picking up some strings and noticed a OM-28V, brand new, for $1600, 2K off the list, brand new. I couldn't resist and bought it, best thing I have EVER bought. I've played many nice guitars but this one is amazing, the only thing compairable is the D-41 and a few Taylor special editions. I put electronics in it and now she's my main performing guitar, the D-18 is my practice guitar. I don't know why I wrote this, I've been jamming out all day and just couldn't stop grinning

how is that their fault?guitardmb wrote:Glad you had a good experience with guitar center. My last experience consisted of me buying $1,000 of equipment including a new guitar, where the pedal didnt work properly and the electronics in the new guitar didnt work at all. Guitar Centers incompetence cost me an extra $120.
didn't you try them out at the store?guitardmb wrote:Glad you had a good experience with guitar center. Its their fault that they put faulty guitars on the floor and refuse to fix them when taken in.czech wrote:how is that their fault?guitardmb wrote:Glad you had a good experience with guitar center. FYI, the manufacturer is supposed to do the quality control, not the store. and they arent supposed to fix shit on new equipment, the manufacture is.guitardmb wrote:Its their fault that they put faulty guitars on the floor and refuse to fix them when taken in.czech wrote:how is that their fault?guitardmb wrote:Glad you had a good experience with guitar center. I drive past one on the wat to and from work everyday...I don't think that I would ever buy a high end guitar from them but I do enjoy stopping by once in a while to play a few of them. They have a very liberal policy when it comes to playing the guitars on the wall...
Once at GC I saw a middle school kid drag a stool across the acoustic room, stand on it so that he could reach the $3000 Taylor 814ce, jump off of the stool with the guitar in hand then procede to sit and play it for quite a while, all while the GC employee watched without concern. I was amazed.
