Hey, as you can see this is my first post, i have been wanting to learn how to play the guitar for a while now, but i have no idea where to start, such as, what is a good guitar to buy for a first guitar, and what is the best way to learn?? lessons? but aren't they really expensive? i am in desparate need of some help, thanks a lot in advance
a cheap good guitar is a jasmine by takamine...i like them....lessons are expensive and worth it BUT i took them and hated it so i learned on my own....the first 2 months suck....and ull plateu (not getting any better for awhile) at times but it will pass...im at one myself for a few months now....

grab whatever guitar you can, learn some chords, and let your ears do the rest...
acquire knowledge along the way, take lessons later, and buy a Taylor 812ce

u know what i did to learn how to change cords fast was just learn some songs with differnet chords in it like Run around by blues traveler ....and do that wiht 3 or 4 songs until you have every major and most minor cords....but the first thing before this learn some riffs ...if u like blink learn the riff in damnit...just to get u movin around and comfortable with the pick...i know its not an acoustic song but still it will help....

I've got this one... I think it sounds nice. If you're a beginner, I don't think you'll notice a lot of difference anyways.billywestom wrote:Here is the number 1 selling acoustic guitar in the world. I havent played one, but it might be a good deal...
