Lakewood! (otherwise spend $3000 more on a Taylor!)

to tell you the truth no. but why spend so much on a taylor when you can get the same/better guitar for less money? do you want to pay for the name on your headstock?

its like buying a gibson. yes, it is a great guitar. however, you can find much better for the money (ie: godin). why pay more than you have to for an awesome guitar?

Maybe because Lakewoods aren't as easy to come buy. For instance, there's a place about and a half away from me that is an authorized Lakewood dealer; but they sold the only one they had and another one is expected in June. And that Shoreline music thing; sure I could test one out from there, but if I didn't like it, that would suck because then I have to through the hassle of returning it and all that bullshit.

Didnt think so. How in the world can you reccommend a guitar to someone when youve never even played one? Even bigger question, why would you drop that kind of cash without ever playing one? I'm sure its a great guitar, but just cause Dave Matthews uses it, that doesnt mean its better than a martin or taylor. I dunno, something just annoys me when people are all like "buy this or buy that" when they have absolutely no experience with the product..........but im sure Lakewood loves you.shane wrote:to tell you the truth no. but why spend so much on a taylor when you can get the same/better guitar for less money? do you want to pay for the name on your headstock?

lol listen, it may be a risk, but i dont have the money for the taylor i would want. if i dont like it i can send it back no questions asked. full refund, dont even have to pay for shipping. im not gonna debate the subject anymore. i just dont recommend spending so much when you can find a guitar that could very well be better for $2000 less.
