Unread post by topgun17 » Fri Aug 26, 2005 6:38 pm

up to you. every song is different. as an artist use your creative abilities to come up with names. to me the name of a song isnt that big of a deal, just have good lyrics

...when you're the first person to do it and have it be well known. after that it looks like you're trying to copy another artist- and you look stupid and unoriginal.

i like when song names have aboslutely nothing to do with the actual song. when they are just nonsense

fallout boy has some loooong names for their songs.. its all persoanly preferance.. i think some songs are named by a lyricin them beucase it makes them more customer friendly....
i like songs names that have a hidden meaning, somthing that the artist has experinced, like tripping billies

the first couple versions, granny was actually in the lyrics. then those lines got chopped off but the title stuck

for the main question, i think if meaning/point of the song is unclear, then use the name of the song to help. like flake by jack, the song is about a flakey girl, and it help explains that in the song title
For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again
