Well my uncle Lance is a blues musician and he's currently touring a 2 piece show with just him and Samantha (the black woman in the pics). They're from chicago and they flew into NC this past weekend to do a show. My uncle didn't want to have to bring his amp on the plane, so I just met him at the theater with my amp (Fender Deluxe:D )
I helped him set up and do the sound check, but we had some time to kill before the show so we got to jam for a bit. It was awesome to play through a full theater PA with the two of them.
Just some info for you, I'm playing through my uncles 1990 Taylor 414 Mohagany body w/ sitka top (it looks cedar, it but it just darkened with age).IMO its the best sounding guitar I've ever played. He's kept it set up well and taken great care of it since he got it and its aged into an absolutely amazing guitar.
He's playing through a fender strat that he broke down and put in his suitcase for the flight:P and my fender deluxe.
Me staring out into nothing...

Well my parents, the soundman and the theater manager.8)
It was about an hour before the show so there wasn't any actual audience

i wish i had an uncle or dad to jam with.
my brothers good at guitar but hes at college and we now have 2 working guitars so during the summer im gonna jam. hopefully i can learn some theory too
For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again

Yea its really nice to have relatives to play with. I only see my uncle like twice a year and wish i could see him more. You just can't beat the style gains of playing with someone who's been playing all their life and isn't going to get impatient playing with you.
And to DJR07, yea I look forward to it too..lol

hey, if I wanted to make it awkward I would have put a wink and thumbsup.
Btw, Mayer bumped uglies with Jennifer Love Hewit, so yea..its a compliment. But it was only that shot, so I guess if you are able to hold that the rest of your life, you should be good to go.

When I was looking at these pictures, my brother said "is that John Mayer?"
He was looking at my monitor from a very bad angle, so he couldn't see it too well.

you're really lucky to have an uncle to jam with. it's hard to find people who know what they're doing and can jam, let alone someone in your family.
great pics and keep rockin
