technique practice?

Unread post by Jay » Sat Mar 29, 2003 3:43 pm

i've been wondering this for a little while...

are there any drills or anything that you can do to improve general guitar skills? like...i know just practicing songs helps a ton, but are there things that target specific things, like "muting practice" or something. i know songs help, but say you practice warehouse over and over...it makes you really good at playing warehouse, and then some of that will carry over to other songs...but is there like, something that isnt a song?

i was worried i'd do a horrible job explaining this, which is what i have done...

You can practice Blue's Scales. The fingerings for warehouse are based off a Blue's scale..not sure which one though since Im musically retarded. But somehow I can Play some pretty good Dave.
