HELP:::Recording in the studio...

Im going into the studio soon and i was wondering how to do somethings...like, if i were record drums first how would i put a guitar intro in the same song...would he have to count the time and i would have to know exactly when to come in? how would i do this any help would be good..i may however just record the guitar first...any suggestions would be help ful on doing anything in the studio any suggestions what so ever

Use a clik track, and build each instrument off of that-

yeah, most likely a click track will be necessary, especially if you're using many instruments, as although it's fairly simple to stick CLOSE to tempo throughout the whole song, it's nearly impossible to remain exactly on, which is what you need when recording instrument parts separately.
