Good John Mayer
Good John Mayer
I don't know if this is the correct forum for this. For those of you, like me, who are sick of John Mayer's "pop" stuff, I think you will find these 2 shows very refreshing. No fluffy stuff here, just 2 nights of John showing off his guitar talent. Its a shame he does not do this more often. Download and enjoy!

I just checked it and it is working for me. When you click on either links it brings you to the bt.etree page for that particular show. Right click and "save as" on the torrent there...then go to whereever you saved it and double click....it should start up.

I have the video of him performing on Austin City Limits with Double Trouble and Buddy Guy. It's awesome. I really don't like his studio songs, but on this performance, he turns bad songs like Your Body is a Wonderland into an enjoyable song with his awesome acoustic solo. Not to mention all his electric solos where he tries to be SRV. He's also on the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar festivle DVD, and he does pretty good on that too. The Any Given Thursday DVD has some good stuff too. I guess I don't really like his songs, just his blues soloing. Too bad he doesn't do any of that on his recordings.

What do you mean it's a shame he doesn't do this more often? Every show I've listened to of his, and when I saw him live, he was amazing. He puts it all out there every night.taylordb wrote:I don't know if this is the correct forum for this. Listen to the shows...even John Mayer himself asks the crowd if they knew what they were in for when they came....recognizing the fact that the shows were different from the "typical" JM concert. All I am saying is that the shows lack the "pop" element and emphasise his guitar work. I said that I was sick of his pop stuff....that is a personal opinion. Take a deep breath.

Maybe he was recognizing the fact that his live shows aren't like his albums. Every concert I've heard of his, he does song awesome blues soloing.taylordb wrote:Listen to the shows...even John Mayer himself asks the crowd if they knew what they were in for when they came....recognizing the fact that the shows were different from the "typical" JM concert.
