Guitar World Acoustic

Great magazine, it is worth it. The only decent guitar magazine out there, imo.

If you don't mind Avril Levigne and Nirvana transcriptions. j/k. It's a great mag for someone into the more mainstream side of things. I think Guitar Player and Acoustic Guitar are better mags in general. They're aimed at more experianced players though which could be good or bad.

I like Fingerstyle Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, and Guitar Player. You learn much more from these than from other magazines, though Guitar One is very good.

i don't care for acoustic guitar

lots of adds and little subtance

they tend to cover artists that are not as "famous and well known" as many pop stars are, so if you're into other music than the usual radio friendly stuff, check it out

I have a subscription to Acoustic Guitar, and I like the mag. It has some pretty good lessons, great reviews, and has turned me on to some really good, lesser known artists.

That said, I also really like GWA, but I thought that they sometimes transcribed some pretty bad songs. I think they spent about 5 pages transcribing a Kid Rock song, and the whole thing was G, C, D pretty much the whole way through.
