Mexican or Spanish Songs???

Unread post by NPR » Mon Oct 25, 2004 2:29 pm

Hey I was dressing up as a Mexican this year for Halloween. I was thinking of bringing my guitar along and playing something Mexican or Spanish sounding....I don't know.....just something to fit the outfit.

Does any one know of any simple songs that might fit that bill that I can play on my guitar? Something easy will be nice since I will be drunk.

la bamba. If you're a mexican with a guitar, this will be requested multiple times.

I don't know how easy it is though, I've never tried it.

Very easy. I played it at a music something or other when I was 6 or 7. If I remember correctly it was just 3 chords (probably g, c, f)

Yeah I was just thinking of that La Bamba song. I will go home and learn that. I just thought playing the guitar would be another nice addition to my costume.

Also maybe I could just find out some spanish sounding chords or progressions to play around with.
