New song ideas

Unread post by trojan11 » Thu Oct 14, 2004 4:20 pm

I've been playing for a little over a year, and I think i'm decent enough. I can play a majority of Dave's songs on top of about 60+ other songs from various artists. Right now I'm kinda running out of ideas of songs to play and would like some new challenges. Any suggestions would be great.

I say..... Instead of learning a new song, learn a new technique. Say, using a thumbpick. Thats what i always do if im looking for a new challenge or something.

play your common chord progressions like tictacs said and then try to make up runs inbetween them and connect them, its always fun.
