-----------------how to get baritone tunning on a standard 6 string----------
tune your guitar to this, and it will be relitive to baritone tone, soooo it will not have the same notes on the strings but when comming from baritone tabs it will transpose perfectly...

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Well technically you can create any tuning, but I love DADGAD, and this past week or so, I've only played in CGCGCE (Open C).

you have the baritone turning wrong. it's the same as putting a capo on the 7th, but an octave lower. it's BEADF#B

you can't get that tuning out of a normal guitar. that's why he listed the alternative.

I think that's just C tuning, not dropped C. What I mean by drop is just the low E. That's how I play it.

fraid not...

try it and play Space between, its not the same you see...

baritone guitars have a different string size, and neck length and scale... sooo, its impossible to get that sound from that tuning on a standard... however... if you use what i posted up there, you can get that tuning on a standard.

Would you guys mind listing some songs that you play in these different tunings. I'm a little new to the alt tunings.

Aside from Drop D I like some CSNY stuff, 4+20 and Suite: Judy Blues Eyes is in some kind of drop E (don't know exact name). I know Indigo Girls use a lot of alt tunings.

thanks
