I only change my elixers when I do enough bends to go right through the strings and they snap. Or when the e and B won't hold tune anymore.

I change mine when I'm bored.

I wish I could afford elixers but they are like 12 bucks a pack at the music store. I use the Diardios EQ17 i think. I'm taking that number from memory dont yell at me if it doesnt exist im too lazy to go upstairs and actually see what kind they are. I know for a fact they are in a blue pack though.

I must agree they do suck. But I have no job and can only afford the cheapest strings on the rack. And 6 bucks a pack isnt bad at all. I've never used martins i should try that sometime.

I hate the sound of old strings. Sounds like its out of tune with its obviously not. Sound sucks.

On new strings it has a cool almost proffesional sound for like a week.

Im definatly getting Martin Strings next time I run out.
