up until last night, the highest i used a capo was the 9th fret.

last night, i used it on the 12th fret. twas a very interesting experience hahahahaha.

Too bad I can hardly get to my 14th fret on my acoustic or I'd capo that high too....Capos are great fun.

now, capoing the 12th fret is just the same as 1 octave up right?

yeah, point is, makes it easier to get a mando-ish sound. dont have to worry about the low stuff gettin hit. i cant really easily make a full chord in G.. i have to kinda wrap my hand around the capo, so i said screw it and improvised the whole song. it was awesome.

I bet it's not good for the guitar or strings at all capoing up at the 12th.

the highest i've ever used a capo is the 7th fret. i really can't see it sounding good higher than that :?

i use 2 from time to time. i have a shubb cut capo coming. ive heard of people using 3 though.

I use 2 capos on a few originals as well. I've been trying to get a partial capo, that would only capo strings 3 through 6, leaving 1 and 2 open to ring. No luck so far.

john mayer's 3x5 is caped at the 8th... and ive caped at the 9th some.
