Unread post by pele0069 » Fri Feb 07, 2003 11:46 am

well he was a little more helpful this time around...i learned the pentatonic scales (maj min) so he talked about how with a pentonic its hard to screw up than with just a reg mjor scaled due to dead notes (i thikn that what he said) well neways he also gave me some new cords some of wich i knew he showed me g7 c9 d9 g13 a7 e7add9( i cant read his writing for this one) with g13 my hands wouldnt stretch that way ....it doesnt seem like it would be hard it is 3x345x thats from low e to high e.....anyone else have this problem?

for that 3-x-3-4-5-x chord, its a bit awkward fingering eh?

I betcha he never told ya to use your thumb on the low E string.

instead of using your index for the low E and your last 3 fingers for the others, you can use your thumb for the low E and your first 3 fingers for the others.
good, and you?
