What thickness of pic do you use? And what are the benefits of using a thicker pick, as opposed to a thin one, if there are any? Or is it just preference?

I use a .60mm Its all preference as to pick thickness (or using one at all) Either do a search and look at old posts on this subject for pros/cons and peoples opinions on benefits, etc... or just wait for someone else to fill you in

I find thin are better for strumming/acoustic and thick are better for not strumming/electric

That'd have to be a bass pick or somethin', man. Or do they make picks for guitar that thick? O.o

he means 1.1 mm or .11 cm

0.60mm i prefer... these are obviously better for the percussive style that Dave uses as well (in case you're trying to mimic him)

He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

when I RARELY use a pick, I use the dunlop 1.0 (the blue one) or the Jazz III picks.
