just work on it. That F bar can really be hard to do, even for experienced players, But all you have to do is work on that one chord change over, and over, and over... and over... and you'll get it with the added plus of strengthening your left index finger.

It's mainly just practice bro. If you want me to throw up a video for you to show you how it's done, I'll do it.

barr chords suck. i usually don't play the b and the high e string because its easier. i use my index just on the low e string and forget about barring the rest.

just play an F in the open position. drop your two fingers down from a C and there you have it, for that song it sounds fine.

I don't think i know this "crazy game of poker" song but you could also try playing a different song that has the same chord changes....like mr. jones, by counting crows. Its a slow riff and you have plenty of time to switch plus its a really fun song to play!
hope i helps a little :)

yeah and you don't really have to worry about holding down string 1 and string 2 in fret 1. Just hold down string 2 and it sounds fine...eventually, you'll have em both down. Or practice with a capo on the first fret....It will sound way different but you'll get used to the fingerings

Sorry about the delay, but I couldn't find my Firewire Cable until about 5 minutes ago! :(

For some reason it has a green stripe running down the left side, but that doesn't really hinder the view. It's a .wmv file, you'll need Windows Media Player to Play It

And, yeah I know need new strings. :D

I swear I'm the only person that doesn't use their index finger when playing G.

Any reasoning behind this, or is that just the way you learned it.

That's the way I taught myself. Plus if you play a C chord, you can just jump your two fingers up a string and you're at G. Also, it allows me to hammer-on the b-string, first fret if needed.
