actually, i backed out (well kinda).

i had told him I wanted it, but now I said leave it open for the public, because i'm not sure.

i talked to a guy that seems to know an awful lot at the larrivee forums and he said "That guitar is 5 years old and has old pickguard and no warrenty. I think paying $50 extra for warrenty, new pickguard, and best of all, new guitar is worth paying $675.

so short answer to your questions is...I would NOT buy that guitar for $625."

I wasn't too sure about it anyway, because I'm not sure if it's what I want (need to play more).

that being said, if anyone is interested in this guys Larrivee D-03 for $625 shipped.... i'll link you to it. :)

Fuck the Taylor 3 series. That price tag does not match that guitar.

If the 6 year old one is mint, I would honestly go with that one. Spruce tops don't start to break in and warm up until about the 5th or 6th year. Just something to sit on.

there's another one I'm looking at that's a 5 year old D-03 for $600... sounds promising but I haven't seen pics yet... apparently he bought it to learn to play, but never did... so it's hardly been used...
