berklee in boston is the rich kids music school...anyone can go there so long as you have the money. 40 grand a year unless they give you scholarships after they place you...it's not exactly well looked upon in the higher-music-learning crowd either...but you've got a heck of a lot better shot making it after going there then just trying to do something out of nowhere. and making it as a studio musician really isn't that hard. guitarists who can read are in fairly high demand. being a pro-musician more often than not isn't about writing and performing your songs...

I don't think it's ridicuously hard if you know a bit, I mean, if you just play dave, open stuff and you don't know any theory, it's not happening, if you know a bit...well, you get a few grand, not much when it's still 36 grand a year...the school is just a little goofy...

I actually never had the intention to study music or something... I sing and play for fun and to forget worries and stuff and to relax of course

id love to go pro. probably won't, but it won't be for lack of trying (after i get all my schooling out of the way) i mean like pro pro too, like in a band. i want to be the rhythm guitarist/backup vocals for a band. right now it's just me and one other guy, but who knows. first i have to figure out how to write songs, i mean i can, but my lyrics suck. and im slowly trying to turn myself into a lead guitarist, cause i know the largest population of guitarists are rhythm.

yeah, I'm learning scales and stuff right now to be able to play some improvised solo stuff. But it's hard at first. Needs time I think.

I'd have to say that if I could play music for the rest of my life and make enough money to get by I would, but realisically I am pretty sure this won't happen for me. My real vision for the future is to finish my time here in college and work computer systems for some company (yes, I am a huge computer nerd) and then play solo or in a band in my free time. I really just play music because is it entertaing for myself and I like to entertain others.

Yeah, that's perhaps what I'd like to do in the future too.
