go home, we can argue this if we want, I think he's completely wrong in many respects and openly arrogant at that, therefore I will have my two cents, now you had yours but don't try to act like you're above this situation...if only jkanter hadn't deleted that thread where he and I forget who just made complete asses out of themselves...

Who isn't arrogant in your book? Jkanter on the list, now SUperman too?
I dont see why you have to try to put people down by saying that what they play was wrong even though there were tons of people that said otherwise.

actually, as far as the stone goes, everyone said it was wrong and he still disputed saying it was right and dmb tab books are as accurate as it gets, but you must've missed that...

oh yeah, and kanter...that was based on the fact that he deletes threads if someone else trash talks anyone, you seem to be commenting on situations you don't wholly understand...

I'm not mad and no one is "in it" as you say, kanter and I just have a few little outstanding and civil disagreements, and note, did I say his songs were bad? no, but he swears that that's how dave plays them and the books are accurate and he is wrong...he then professes that lessons give you the theory you need to play by ear, and well, I have an ear and I can tell you what he's playing is wrong. That's all there is to it...he swears by things that work for him while ignoring a lot of other factors involved in things and he's provided proof for it in thinking his tab books are correct when they are so obviously wrong. so yeah, I could just go along and say, yeah, great, listen to everything he says and everyone feel happy, but there are always two sides of an argument and instead of letting another very practical side get ignored, I as well as others presented it.

i know 4 different ways to play #41, they all use the same chords in different spots...they all use the same notes, just in different registers.......... so you're telling me 3 out of those 4 ways are wrong just because "dave doesn't play them that way" ?

i hate to tell you buddy, but tab books pay PROFESSIONAL transcriptionists to sit down and transcribe EVERY NOTTE in a song, and while perhaps sometimes the register of the note they put down may be wrong, the key itself is dead on.... so don't even try to badmouth the tab books

I'm not denying that, I could play 41 multiple ways too and have it sound almost exactly the same, but I'm not even referring to that...the tab books are just blatantly wrong...I'm tempted to go out and buy them just so i can show you examples of exactly how wrong they are...just look at your stone tab you swear by, that's not what dave plays! it's simple to pick out and that's not it...
