thats because martins are inconsistant and overpriced. especially when it comes to brazillian rosewood

Taylors and Martins are 2 totally different guitars.
If you want a guitar to play in a full band with, pick up a taylor, it is going to cut through the band, thus allowing you to be heard better.
Do you want to play solo sets? Get a Martin. It has a much fuller, soft tone than the Taylor.
I hate Martin vs. Taylor debates. They are worthless. Like they always say...The right tool for the right job...

umm when i have enough money to get those guitars some of the woods could be endangered, not to mention the inlays on 3 out of 4 are very intricate, as well as the binding being expensive, the woods being high grade, the construction being expensive (for the florentine cutaway), and the overall guitars being very unique....duluoz wrote:I play a Martin D-15 and a beater Crestwood. Martins are not overpriced, according to your fanatastic wishlist, Taylors are.
a $3000 indian rosewood martin with barely any abalone is way too overpriced... and a brazillian rosewood martin with hardly any cosmetics at all is not worth $10000...

I have a 1970's Madeira...Such a beautiful guitar...Guild's old import model (like Epiphone to Gibson). It was great then I put elixir strings on it...OMG was it even better...I have played an Ibanez AEGbk10, but the action was way low and every chord had a buzz.
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.
