they are probably released by Cherry Lane and have nothing to do witht he bands themselves. maybe their management signes over the OK for the artwork and music to be transcribed, but Dave never tabbed any of it, nor submitted his tabs or sheet music for any of it.

I know this may sound a little mean and uncalled for, but the guy doing some of these "videos" of the tabs of dave songs... guy c'mon you honestly cannot tell me that some of those songs are correct. I mean, listen to some of that shit. I dont feel like listing all the ones that are wrong but here's a little tip for you: Buy a Tablature Book

- both excellent tab books that are 100% accurate

i wouldn't quite say that... im going to try not to assume too much, but a statement like that shows just a little bit of ignorance. transcribing and arranging takes quite a bit of effort, knowledge, and talent. just because they dont get it exactly how the artists plays it does not mean that they are hacks.

Well I don't know about hacks, they sure as hell are better musicians and players then I am, but the fact still remains that this website is populated by a bunch of anal perfectionists (I'm one of them, nothing to be ashamed about) when it comes to how you play daves stuff, and we are saying the tab books are wrong and in no way official even though they say so. They just get a bunch of amazing musicians to listen to something and come up with a tab that although is close, is by no means perfect, and that's what we are trying and have done for the most part here. I would eat my fucking foot if someone could prove to me that those fuckers went up to Tim and Dave and asked them how they played the Luther shit. Dave is so spuratic and was probably so drunk off his ass that he couldnt remember if asked, and Tim is so fucking godlike and differnt everytime that he probably couldnt tell them exactly what he did, when you are running up and down scales there is so much room for diversity that it just isn't practical to say that they got it exactly right.... Even on Stream, Tim plays it differnt everytime, it's just how he plays....
