that's your damn fault for idolizing someone. you should still appreciate an artist for his music regardless of his or her personality.jellyfish wrote:Well let me fucking tell you why arrogance can be a bad thing.Beauford33 wrote:you're just being an idiot tonight. I honeslty dont know how arrogance can be a bad thing..of course unless the person sucked ass. But if you're cocky, but can back it up (josh can) then I think it is awsome.
Take your favorite performer, Go see him Live, Meet him after the show, spend an hour with him, find out that he is a complete arrogant asshole.
There...Your idol is now dead to you.
miles davis was a very callous person and he hated audiences, does that make him any less of a genious
and im really gonna need an explanation of why you think im arrogant or im going to have regard everything you say from now on as complete fallacy. so far all you have done is attack me without explaining yourself
I suppose your calling me a pussy? Anyway, IM not interested in arguing this point because Im sure I would win. Trust me, no one likes dickheads.Beauford33 wrote:shit, when I say arrogant I mean cocky..and I love cocky. Sure, Id be "cushed" by a cocky idiol if I were a littel pussy and let that hurt me.
And IM really not interested in starting a fight with you. For one thing, IM older and can easily outwit you.(is that cocky enough) and secondly, I don't like arguing with somebody I will never meet. I didn't wan't to argue with FatJack but rather tell him to chill. Have a good night.

im totally chill, why dont you want to have a simple little discussion. you obviously have a very strong opinion and are very passionate about it. and, usually, when people have strong opinions, they have examples/sources/evidence that supports that opinion. thats all im looking forjellyfish wrote:I suppose your calling me a pussy? and every part of that post was arrogant, so rather than call you a pussy, i will call you a hypocrite
NO, it's not good. Nobody likes a cocky person. (unless you are 7)Beauford33 wrote:yea, cocky is good..but like I said, it is only honorable if you can back it up.
Take Terrell Owens. Everybody agrees he is a great football player but they hate him for the fact that he acts like an asshole when he scores a touchdown. No need for showboating...we get the point.

that was a MASSIVE generalization. most people that i know of that have an opinion about TO usually have a favorable one.jellyfish wrote:NO, it's not good. Nobody likes a cocky person. Yes, it does make him less of a genious. It shows that he can only handle one aspect of his life with dignity. Being a performer requires you to handle yourself onstage & off. And do you really want me to go and find all of you arrogant rants in the past 2 weeks. Give me time and I will.fatjack wrote:that's your damn fault for idolizing someone. you should still appreciate an artist for his music regardless of his or her personality.jellyfish wrote:Well let me fucking tell you why arrogance can be a bad thing.Beauford33 wrote:you're just being an idiot tonight. Yea, Patrick Roy was one cocky bastard. You know what, people here love him. I for one think of him as one of my heros. I have met him. He is a nice guy, but you know he knows "Im awsome". He is idolized around here and up in Canada.
and people love TO. It is the 40 year olds with sticks up their asses that have a problem with him.

Well, this would require some thought & time. I dont have either right now. But, I do know you're approximately 16 & don't have time to argue with somebody who is not as experienced in this world as I am.Beauford33 wrote:and what does handling ones self off the stage have anything to do with a musical gneious?
There ya go... Is that what you want.
BTW, Your not getting under my skin. I've got 2 people over my shoulder laughing at you right now. You're just a young buck who needs to grow.

Im 18, shows your ignorance. And like I said, you have to prove yourself in order for your cockiness not to turn into embarassment.jellyfish wrote:Well, this would require some thought & time. reagarding the TO analogy, i live in philly and i am a big football fan, and while i root for the eagles im not one of these blind ardent fans. as such i can give an unbiased opinion on TO. personally ive always liked him. even before he came to philly. but there were many people around here that HATED him when he was in sanfran and said that his antics detracted from the game and made him a worse player. now those same people are praising him saying that he brings much needed attention to football (because football needs attentionjellyfish wrote:Yes, it does make him less of a genious. Regarding your argument, jelly: i was a smidgen with you in the beginning, then you spun off into a matrix of insults, none of which were prudent or backed. you lose. fatjack: you win. congrats. you are not cocky because you back it up. that is all.
edit: you really 16 fatjack?
