i think it means to play the chords in order of the lines, as in each line gets one chord

thats my guess, i've never actually encountered

It's just telling you to use the same cords for that verse. So the whole song is A F#m D E A. I don't know the song so I could be wrong.

Yes. Although, I've been off active duty for almost 4 years. I served 5 and a half years in the Marine Corps. Sept 94 - March 00. Still don't know why I got out. This civilian stuff isn't working out too well.
