#1: this is about as far from a sell out album as possible...you think teenies are going to like these songs? some will, but this is hardly an album that screams for 12 year old girls. it has its moments, but I'm sorry, no.

#2: you're disappointed he's not playing acoustic?! LOL!!! Well, he's a lot more of an electric player. The only reason you know him as an acoustic guy is b/c when he was starting out solo he pretty much had to play acoustic to support the songs. Electric does not work as a solo instrument.

#3: there's no acoustic on wheel.

#4: most of you guys are the most absurdly biased people on the face of the planet. it's absolutely unbelievable. you think based on the DMB bandwagon...you like acoustic guitar and hate john mayer...isn't that how it goes? yeah, I thought so. You'll get all pissed off and mock me to try and cover for yourselves, but deep down you guys know you're playing the fake, or you're just so encompassed by it all that you don't even realize that you've lost the ability to think for yourself. high five. for those of you saying, that's not me, chill, it most certainly is you. grow up and get serious. thank you, goodbye.

sorry, i was wrong about wheel. i have a bad ear. no wonder i suck at guitar.

and there are a few 12 year old girl friendly songs, but yeah...he did say it was going to head in a different direction. it's still going to take some time adjusting to it.

and i think you're generalizing us too much.

i wouldn't say i hate mayer. hate is a strong word. mhm. yessah.

how am I biased when i listen to a song and think hey! this sucks sweaty donkey balls!? i don't dislike mayer's album because he doesn't play acoustic(heck i'd rather hear him play the electric!) or because i like dmb, i dislike his album because the songs i heard are just a bunch of sentimental, sappy crap, just like most from his last album.

i actually was looking forward to this a little, i was hoping he would go in a direction i would enjoy listening to, but he didn't, so now im disappointed

if he would just shut mouth and let his guitar playing do the talking, i would listen to him all the time.

FAtjack that was put in the most perfect words IMO. I could not have said it any better. He has the talent, god knows he could kick dave's ass in a 1v1 guitar match, but why doesn't he use it as much? Please don't let this be a thread stealer or changer or whatever you want to call it...

I havent had the chance to listen to heavier things. I was waiting until today to get the album, but my mom said she was too tired to take me to the wherehouse..... Tomorrow! hehe.

Well i finally got the album... Definetly not as good as i was expecting. I like it though. the song only heart is great IMO. But i think clarity is really boring. reeeaaallly borring. He had a couple really good ones, a couple really boring ones, and the rest were just pretty good i thought.

Now its time to wait for sep. 23....Yea!
