Ah, I hear ya on that...I'm kind of the same way.
Same with listening to music. If I'm really pissed, I can only listen to a few of dave's songs.. (Halloween or Pig)
I usually pop in my Alice In Chains unplugged cd...

Alice in chains was so long ago. dude. yet there still pretty good.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

if it were more of an acoustic playable song, What you are could be one for me. God i love the live outro. The end of seek up and bartender make them very emotionally driven songs as well.

yeah. both have dave yelling nonsense when it's really words that we'll never be able to understand but it gives us chills anyway.
except for Elliot.

I usually have to have been drinking for it really to get to me, but Grace Is Gone.
If I'm lit, I can't get through that song w/o crying. Sucks.
I just lost my mom last year and the whole song hits home pretty damned hard. That and Stay or Leave.
Peace,
Stunt

As dumb as this sounds, Hootie and the Blowfish's "Let Her Go". When I get to the one part about "she went to the back to get high..." I just stop there cuz it reminds me too much of past experiences with a woman in my family.
peace
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.
