Yeah seriously. Listen to Alice In Chains Unpugged. Alot of that is half step down, it sounds amazing.

but that's just weird to me that you find this specifically great. It's just like saying: wow my guitar sounds very cool with the capo on 1! [tuning half a step down I guess is just really putting a a capo on -1]

it actually does sound really good. i kept my guitar half a step down for the longest time. but you can never get the real sound of standard while putting a capo on 1. so i said screw it and just played the songs i know half a step down in regular standard. i may not be able to sing them. but who cares.

i prefer digital tuners, only cause those get me close then i adjust to my prefrence.
