i'm going fucking crazy here. praise, play along with the video a full step down. it's just...wrong. what is wrong with me?

THERE I DID IT. just for you mikey. i dropped it a step and it sounds fine to me. (i dont use a tuner i tune by ear) sometimes tuners that are made for guitar arent as accurate when you drop or raise a step

worked for me too, are you sure you tuned down half a step and not a full?

fucking way. took me like 5 min to tune back up with my old strings, didnt wanna snap one.

alright seirously something is going on here. i just played along to the intro to LIOG and then i did warehouse. they both sounded perfect (capod the second fret)

then i try to play along with the video and it's terrible. even the intro is way off. what is going on?!

That's what I thought, you tuned down a full step. It's ok, I did the same thing the first time I played around with that tuning is why I asked.

FIRST OF ALL....you've been syaing step (which i take as full step usually...not half.)

secondly, i tried a half step too.

dude...there's no way you tried it out. half step sounds worse than a full step down.

same here, its working for me. If you are in standard tuning, put your finger in the 11th fret on the E string. That is what the E should be tuned down to, then you just retune from there...
