did anyone see the metallica icon thing? it was awesome except for ole avril. her singing fuel? come on. i just htink that because it is such an awesome song, it needs to be done right. stainds performance was pretty awesome. pretty REALLY awesome. but i was cringing during avril. i know they were trying to show that women like metallica too and can rock but come on avril....put some oomf into it.

Ask him to play one you think he can't pull off :) Many people say that Nothing Else Matters is a faily easy song , but alot of people don't play it right either .... Ask him to play that :)

snoop dogg's part was horrible too...but he's so fucking cool that it doesn't matter. Sum41's medly at the beginning was dead-on. the lead guitarist nailed his solos perfectly. i didn't like Aaron Lewis and Mike Mushok's cover because they cheese'd the intro...wow, playing open notes is real hard... avril's cover made me wanna throw up. i wish she would trip on her mic stand and spear herself.

I also saw it. I thought it was really cool, seeing as my favorite band used to be KoRn. Overall, I'd say it was a very nice tribute... except for the fact that Avril ruined Fuel

i did not see this special..when was it on? is it on kazaa? i'm off to look for it
EDIT: oh By the way, it is possible to play all but 4 songs. I used to be like that (don't know if it was only 4 songs that I couldn't play) but I could go through most albmuns and play along with all of them....that was a few years ago when i was obsessed with metallica....it's been a while.....i can't remember half of the tunes...plus i haven't touched my electric in a REALLY long time...

hey would anyone like to provide the fingering for the bridge in master of puppets (the one played in the high frets that james and kirk both play and then james goes into the solo while kirk plays the main part of the bridge and then go back into the riff) hope this makes sense :)
