I like the nanowebs because my hands sweat profusely when I play.

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.

Use a rag. If your hands sweat that much you probably still have a problem with sweat on the back of the neck, so the nanowebs aren't fixing the problem. Buy a large guitar rag and just wipe it down whenever you need to. But at least IMO the elixers lack in sound. Some cheaper strings, though they need to be broken in a little more, have a better sound. Again just IMO.

i agree 100%. i've had a 4 dollar set of martin strings on my guitar for 4 months now, still sound great and they aren't all gross and sweaty at all. now i paid 16dollars for four packs of these and they are lasting longer than your elixers, and i play pretty hard.

any way you slice it, there are better, cheaper strings out there if you're willing to take care of them.

I agree 100%, martin strings are definately cheap but then again everyone has there preferences. The new Elixer Phoshpor bronze nanowebs are absolutely awesome and I got them for $15.

Martin strings last about as long as it takes to tune them.

I've got martins on right now. Had them for quite a while. I have no life, so I play nearly non-stop when I'm not working. Anyway, the martins are still holding up. As long as you wash your hands and stuff they'll be fine.

No, that isn't true...the cheaper the guitar, the easier strings can break...like everything you get what you pay for, you should be able to rock pretty fuckin hard on your acoustic even if its mediocre price ranged...

If the strings are breaking at the nut or at the bridge it could be because the guitar is new, or the bridge or nut is new and is not broken in yet, also make sure each doesnt have any jagged edges or sharp points and if necessary smooth them out, but it is true you need to be gentle on the strings the day you string em, thats why I always put my new strings on the night before I play a show, alot less chance they will break
