yes. he will physically change guitars into pigeons. then tim will turn into a platypus, and hell will freeze over.

help purchasing a 414
i really want a 414 but need help
how much should i pay for a 414ce or 414 ltd with rosewood new? would anyone be willing to disclose what they paid? i dont know what a good deal is.
second does the rosewood model sound like a 700 800 or 900 series guitar since it has rosewood?
third how much does not getting cutaway limit soloing? is the cutaway the best way to go?
is either ltd or not good for hard strumming?
ive played them but im not too sure what too look for.
thanks you for any help.

the fishman blender is now standard on teh 300 and 400 series taylors....as of 2003.grock wrote:my sugggestion to buying a guitar is to get one WITHOUT electronics and then in the future (1-2 yrs) spending the 2-300 dollars to put a piezo/mic combo pickup in. you will never find a piezo/mic pickup system in a factory guitar.

tip for firedancer btw, not a crack on grock.
and firedancer, i posted more on the other thread you posted about the 414 on , i forget where it was....

"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

'bout the same price as a regular 414ce for my 414 limited with Rosewood and Expression System.
i love the damn thing.
the rosewood model is closest to the 800, if i remember right. sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides, mostly just inlay design and cosmetics that make it more expensive, and you're getting the ES system. talk about bang for your buck.
get it get it get it.
as for limits on cutaways, you're the only one that puts limits on the instrument.
timmy plays without a cutaway, and well...he's timmy. hot damn!
and for the hard strumming question, i can't really answer that. i usually fingerpick or strum with my thumb. hehe. not too hard of strumming there, but whenever i do use my nails to strum louder it still sounds absolutely wonderful.

thanks for the help everyone.
but heres my situation...a guy wants to sell me a rosewood for 1650 or a standard for the same price. he says they are to be sold at the same price. another place will sell me the standard for 1400. so wouldnt a good deal on a rosewood be 1400? i just dont want someone to take advantage of me. some of these places are hard to deal with. also i can get a 714 for 1750 so instead of paying 1650 for the rosewood 414ce would you just get the 714? thanks for helping.
