I read it this morning, I guess i"m kinda confused on the exercises... I guess I'm not reading them right.
For exercise 1, it's got 1 2 3 4. What does that mean? Is it a tab? Like that first section there, play E1, then E2, E3, E4, then A1, A2, A3, A4? Is that right? Or is this something else?

So I'm right about that being..
play E1, play E2, play E3, play E4? Then move to the A string?
Doesn't that seem kinda easy? Do you need to do it with special fingers?

Yes, the first one is easy. It starts out easy and builds from there. Actually, none of them are that hard, but the difficult part is to play them cleanly while progressivly picking up speed.
They are really just finger exercises that help teach your fingers to act independently, which is important to doing great lead work.....like Tim 8)
