The most talented "band" that Ive heard is the Mahavishnu Orchestra. The creators of fusion, but all were trained musicians and made incredible music.

you are all crazy who think the most talented bands are the flecktones and phish.
Ive never heard of the mahavishnu orschestra, but if they're like a full 25+ person orchestra its hard to compare.
Its 4 people. Bass, violin, electric, and drums.
i will have to check them out...

phish were talented songwriters... but musically? trey's not even that good
that is the falsest (word?) statement I have ever heard. I definantley think phish is WAY up there as the most talented band. Phish's music doesn't call for Fish to play things like Carter does, but the fact that he keeps the band so tight makes it apparent. Trey is a musical God among men. I think he is more versed and knowledgable in music than 99% of musicians today. Page plays the keyboard unlike any other. And if you think Stefan is better than Gordo you have lost it buddy.

I was gonna say that too, but I'm tired of trying to convince some people of certain things on the net.

If you honeslty think that phish is one of the most talented bands out there...then there is a lot of music you have to hear.

Anyone who said Phish needs to listen to Umphrey's McGee. I like them a lot more than Phish and I must say that Jake is a better guitarist than Trey hands down. I mean they both have very unique styles, but Jake can shred like crazy, whereas Trey is more laid back/melodic.

you sir are a dumbass. you obviously haven't listened to a lick of phish...

you are outrageous if you think that stefan is a better bassist than mike gordon. not only is mike an awesome bass player, he is just a talented all-around musician. he plays banjo, sings, and is a very talented composer.

and if you would have to be retarded to think trey isn't musically gifted. he is probably one of the most talented improvisers ever

no reason to get angry, we just havin a nice exchange here

Another thread with possible decent conversation turns into a praisedave bashing. You'd think he'd get it by now.

This is pointless for people to say who the most talented bnads are. Espoeacially when musical ignorance is invovled.
