I was actually going to make the comment that Jack's music is mostly barre chords & if you played three of his songs you've probably played them all.

You should have had a backup just in case. What I do is copy the tabs into a text document (notepad) & save them to my hard drive in a folder. That way I dont have to rely on the internet (if it goes down) for my tabs.

Or the easier way is to choose " Work Offline" with that page. it will save the whole sight for you without being on the net. If there are forums then it will take a damn long time.

really, I wouldnt know how to play Jacks music without tabs, not everyone has an ear, evern though I know most of his stuff is barre chords I still couldnt sit down and listen to a cd and start playing along to every songs, plus hes got runs and more stuff than just barres. A lot of people liked and used that site, now its down and were at a lost. Even if I could sit down and figure out all his stuff, if I just want to know how to play a song really quick its a lot easier to just hop on the net and look at the tab then to sit down and try to learn it.

I really liked that site too. I used it to check my ear parts and i used it before i did stuff by ear. But you guys are relying too much on a tab site. I really liked it too but its a musician who is figured out very easily. I know you guys are better guitarists than not being able to figure out barre chords.

it has nothing to do with talent, most people who use tabs, do it for convenience. some people are into learning it by ear, some arent, it doesnt really matter. if everyone learned by ear, no one would have checked out this site

The Stanford site has been down for a few days now so I think there is little hope of it returning. I say we get started on making this new site. KCW since you're so damn good and it's soooo easy why don't you just tab every JJ song by ear for us.

good for him, i'm really happy that he is good. i personally don't like being talked down to like i am in kindergarden. i haven't played that long so i need those tab sites. it would be nice if there was a site for those who need it and aren't born guitar Gods. if his opinion was wanted it would have been asked for, him saying what he said is him boosting his own ego that he is so much better than the rest of us on the boards.
