Wow....
His stage shows must be wierd, I mean having to either change guitars or re-tuning after every song.

Yeah I don't know how he deals with it. He probably has someone tune one guitar while he's playing and then he switches or he's just really efficient at tuning.
Did you see the best part about him? He's from CANADA!

I heard that he started experimenting with different tunings when he was about 11 years old. He didn't even know that other guitarists changed their tunings, he just got bored of standard. My brother saw him a few years ago in a little bar, and said that he would change his tunings after every song, and tell a little story about the song to pass the time while he tuned. He said that "This dragon won't sleep" is about one of his sons who would never go to sleep, and would keep him up all night. Huron Street is a great album to check out by him.

Hey Mike. Thanks for this post. Great song. My playing style is going to end up alot like his.

Oh and by the way, I'm writing what I think is my best work (in CGCGCE). I'm also thinking about going ahead and getting a Tascam 122 for recording, along with that other mic you suggested.

Great video, I always love to see guitarists like this. :)

I rarely make mistakes like that and on a message board that's quite a feat so it annoyed me that you would point it out. That is all.

I'm glad you like the video.

Looking forward to hearing the new tune. Are you gonna wait till you get the new gear to post it?

I highly recommend d/ling this tune. The sound quality on the video just doesnt capture all the subtleties.
He tunes the Low C down Eb for the bridge and then back up again btw.

I'm hoping to have it somewhat complete by this weekend, then I'm going to see if it can go over to a family friend's studio (the one that has the professional equipment) to record it.

I'm really liking it though, I think it's a step up from my others.
