yea i just go wtih what sounds good in my ear, call that improv i guess........i just wanna know what im doin when im doin it to, im not crazy with it yet, i wanna be able to wail on the guitar like jimi hendrix or stevie ray vaughn, clapton, timmy all of em put together

Please.. Pentatonic is the coolest there is.

But okay, learn the pentatonic (major and minor) and then learn some spanish gypsy scale (there are several, I believe).

Pentatonic scales are really cool to play but the ones I like more than those are Jazz scales. Jazz scales are alot of fun! 8)
By jazz scales you probably mean modes :)

I'm really confused. What does it mean to practice scales.

Like C Major. I looked it up here: http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/g ... ex_rb.html

In what order do I play the notes? There are so many, just seems like a mess of random notes everywhere.

im struggling in learning scales and soloing , i dont know where to start, i might take lessons for once
