I've been trying to play that justin king song that was on that video someone posted a while ago. Not working, although DADGAD is fun to play around with. Is that song tabbed anywhere?
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Classical Gas - Eric's version. This is one of the most complicated [popular] guitar pieces I've come across, and I actually prefer this one to William's. Heh. The fingering isn't that hard, either. Just play it slowly until you have every note memorized. Then play it slowly for a few more days. Then after you can play it fast be sure to practice it slowly every once in a while to keep it perfect. I made the mistake of getting sloppy with my playing and now I'm having to go through the whole playing it slowly thing again. XD

One thing I try to do when I can't find guitar pieces that are challenging as well as fun to play is play piano pieces on the guitar. Videogame music is fun, too. I know many songs by Uematsu. :D

If all else fails, compose something you can't play and work at it until you can. Heh. Good luck! :)

jk, but seriously, try out Stevie Ray Vaughn, it fun, but his solos can be tricky

Oahu, just practice your chord shapes and fingerpicking and you'll be able to play some Kottke in no time, I promise. :)

Now that I think about it, Jim Croce's stuff is...moderately challenging (of course, I'm talking about Muehleisen's parts). Croce's songs were all good, and fun to play! Too bad he went early. :(

His stuff is definetly a bitch to sing and play(Croce) mainly because i suck at fingerpicking.

With all due respect, I have been, and you are a dirty rotten liar. ;)

I've been working on Snorkel on and off for around three years (since the beginning). I can play it all the way through now, it only takes twenty minutes.

[Edited for tone; I reread this and it sounded evil or something, so I added a smiley face.]
