I hate it when people say that you have it or you don't. That's complete bullshit. Obviously certain people are gonna have more natural ability than others for whatever reason but I think anyone can be a GOOD singer. The thing you have to keep in mind is that singing is HARD. You have to learn how and when to breath, how to sing different vowels, posture etc. These things have to be learned just like anything. That being said I think vocal lessons (if you find a good teacher) are an extremely good idea. You can be more than a decent singer if you put the work into it.

You know nero mix has a thing where you can extract the vocals out of the music and make like karioke (I HATE SPELLING THAT FUCKING WORD????) type shit. You can do that then add your vocals to it and see how it sounds? I dunno just a thought.
