i tried guitar when i was younger but i didnt do very well with chords...at all. i found i was ok at playing single notes, so i switched to bass. i never actually bought a bass, but i learned alot of songs on bass by playing guitar. then i went to a Christian camp for a week and my counsellor played drums and he taught me a few basics on his set in the chapel.
i bought a drum set and started taking lessons and playing in a band, and i guess i got pretty good really fast, cuz my drum teacher said i had progressed what most people go through in about 3 years in about 8 months. im really sorry for the life story, im getting to the part you asked about now. then i started playing guitar again, and i cant stress how much the ability to play one improves upon your ability to play another. since i know my way around a drum set, its much easier to play in time, and WAY easier to play weird time signatures (ever hear of Liquid Tension Experiment?) and when playing drums, i know what goes well with certain types of guitar playing better and much more.

i encourage everyone to try both drums and guitar and try to learn them both together instead of playing guitar for 5 years and then switching over. does that answer your question? (again, sorry for the life story)

lets see:
#1) hardest to play would probably have to be Let You Down, i have tried, tried and tried to play that, but no matter what, it always sounds like crap :(
easiest to play would have to be granny, i got that thing down the first time i played it, it all goes along to the music, its not hard at all
#2) song that is the most fun to play: although its not a dave song, i love to play stream, i always impress everyone who hears it, dave fan or not. it took me about 2 years of playing guitar before i could play it, but it was damn well worth it, i love plaing any type of alternate parts to it, even the zeppelin melody that tim played on one of his own solo tours. and to answer any question for stream you may come up with: i have tabbed out most of it and submitted it, just wait a little while longer and maybe kanter will put it up(i hope :) )took me a while to tab, but its all good, learning to play the thing is the hardest part

Hardest ( to play and sing with) have to be a tie between tripping billies and wwys.

Easiest the space between (played on a bari)

most fun have to say ants marching (I love that song)
"One Sweet World around this star is spinnin, One Sweet World and in her breath we're swimmin"

Hardest - Where are you going, (I can never get it to sound right! )
Easiest - Ants Marching
Funnest - Tripping Billies / Stone (those two bad boys always give you something to do, you know what I mean? there's some songs that are pretty repetitive like crash)
"Don't lose the dreams inside your head
They'll only be there til you're dead... Dream" - You never Know
