i got one and barely played it..its cool at first that its the guitar that dave played..but it sounds pretty shitty and the fact that you gotta plug it in everytime to play it gets annoying...im not very fond of it and it sits in the corner of my room now doing nothing.

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": Dr. Peter Venkman: I make it a rule never to get involved with possessed people. Actually it's more of a guideline than a rule.

The guitar you two are discussing is not the guitar dave played. This is the cheaper version, the epiphone model, run around 400. The guitar Dave played is the Gibson model, a significantly different guitar in sound, design and price.rockyall107 wrote:i got one and barely played it..its cool at first that its the guitar that dave played..but it sounds pretty shitty and the fact that you gotta plug it in everytime to play it gets annoying...im not very fond of it and it sits in the corner of my room now doing nothing.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't Daves, but kind of on the same note... I was wondering how different the sound was from Daves Gibson. I have a few acoustics and two being acoustic/electrics but rarely plug in, so I didn't want to invest $1500 in a guitar I'll only play for certain songs/sound, especially if I can grab a similar sounding guitar for wayyyy cheaper. The guitar you two are discussing is not the guitar dave played. so i guess my question is, to anyone that has played both how much to these guitars vary? I know they will not sound exactly the same (no epiphone "remake" does).
