whos better #1 or #2

I would listen to #2 over #! but I'm not sure if either is better than the other.

#2 is way better

what's the point of knowing theory in and out your ass when you can't make up anything good on your own? will you enjoy playing other people's music all your life? i would rather know crap for theory and be able to create a lot of good music.

truth is, you don't need to know a ton of theory to be good on the guitar.

SRV did not know ANYTHING about theory. You can check interviews, he says that when he heard chords in his head, he searched the neck until he found it. he didn't know any scales, modes, keys, anything like that.

of course the majority of good musicians know theory, but that doesn't tell us where they got it. either from countless hours of jamming and learning new handshapes, or studying in some class at GIT. the latter seems horribly boring to me.
