80/20 bronze are sqeakier and thus harder to get around on than phosphor/bronze. the 80/20's don't last as long either. they have a wonderful sound when you first put them on but after a few plays it drops off quite quickly. the phosphor bronze seem to get better sounding after a few plays. the mediums have a thicker tone than lights but are harder to press down. try them.
good, and you?
80/20 have a thicker, almost muddier tone than the phosphor bronze. and phosphor is considerably brighter than the 80/20. but 80/20 are just straight blues.
there is no difference is squeakiness cuz the strings are wound in a similiar fashion.
80/20's kinda start out like older phosphor strings so you don't have to break them in to get that raunchy thick tone. the time that it takes the phosphor to muddy up and stuff is the exact same as how long it takes the 80/20 to go bad, so they have arguably the same life span. it's just that phosphor can then be played for that extra amount. so basically phosphor last 2wice as long as 80/20 but the tone changes is much more drastic over the lifespan of that phosphor string.
hope that helps some.
